Just Good Old Rock and Roll by the Electric Prunes has an ominous "the new improved" before their name on the cover of this effort, and despite original producer Dave Hassinger's contributions, it fails to come anywhere near the greatness of "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night." A good tune like "So Many People to Tell" is offset by the difficult "Giant Sunhorse," which destroys any momentum 3/

This was followed in by a "Just Good Old Rock and Roll" recorded by a different group of musicians under the name of The Improved New Electric Prunes, since the name was legally owned by their producer Dave Hassinger. The original band re-formed 30 years later, touring in and releasing a new CD, "Artifact" and a DVD, "Rewired", in Author: The Electric Prunes.
